RALEIGH, NC, April 15, 2022-

Uniquetex, a Grover, North Carolina-based joint venture between China’s Beautiful Nonwovens Company and CL Enterprise, is moving forward on a rapid expansion of its spunmelt operation. Two new lines are on target for production this year – with the first starting up in approximately three months, and the second line expected in about six months.

The first line will be a 3.2-meter SSS line with a capacity of 8,000 tonnes, which will be housed in Uniquetex’s existing facility, where the company is already operating two nonwoven lines – a 96” SS line and a 126” SMS line. The second line will be housed in a brand new 50,000 square-foot facility, designed specifically for a 4.2-meter, 15,000-tonne capacity Reifenhäuser Reicofil (RF3) SMMS line the company recently purchased.
