Two new Andritz spunlace nonwoven lines being put into operation in Lexiao
SHANGHAI, December 18, 2024-
According to Andritz China and China Nonwovens & Industrial Textiles Association, two new Andritz spunlace nonwoven production lines have been put into operation in Xinjiang Alaer Lexiao Co. (Lexiao). The speed and capacity of the new lines have reached the expected target, according to Andritz. Products of Lexiao are applied in manufacturing wet and dry wipes for daily uses. Further details about the new lines have not been disclosed yet.
Lexiao was founded in May 2023 with investment of 150 million yuan ($20.6 million). The first spunlace nonwoven line with annual capacity of 6,000 tonnes was put into operation in summer of 2024. Until now, three spunlace nonwoven production lines (including the two Andritz lines) have been put into operation in Lexiao, with total capacities of about 20,000 tonnes/year. According to the company, it uses viscose introduced from Zhongtai Group, the second largest viscose fiber manufacturer in China with annual capacity of one million tonnes of viscose fibers.
