TOKYO, Japan, November 11, 2024-

For the six months ended Sept. 30, 2024, consolidated revenue increased by 7.9% compared with the same period of the previous fiscal year to 1,294.1 billion yen ($8.4 billion). Core operating income grew by 62.6% to 79.1 billion yen. Operating income jumped by 78.9% to 79.5 billion yen. Profit attributable to owners of parent surged 92.3% to 55.5 billion yen.

In terms of its fibers & textiles segment, during the period under review, revenue achieved a year-on-year increase of 7.1% to 515.5 billion yen. Core operating income rose by 26.6% to 34.4 billion yen.
