Sources: China terminates duties on dissolving pulp imports from the US, Canada, and Brazil
OAKLAND, CA, April 19, 2019-
China has terminated anti-dumping duties (ADD) on viscose-grade dissolving pulp (DP) imports from the USA, Canada, and Brazil that have been in place since 2014, industry contacts informed Fastmarkets RISI. China’s Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) canceled the duties, effective April 4, according to market participants in China.
MOFCOM had slapped mostly 13-17% duties on imported DP since April 2014, after its final ruling determined “there was dumping of the product” and that its domestic industry was “substantially damaged” as a result.
