Shalag announces plan to acquire air-through bond nonwovens maker Texsus




CLOVERDALE, CA, August 14, 2019-

Shalag Nonwovens will purchase Italy’s Texsus S.p.A., bringing it a European manufacturing base to supplement its existing sites in Israel and the United States. Shalag CEO Ilan Pickman said the resulting operation will have nonwovens capacity of “close to 60,000 tons per annum.”

Shalag presently operates plants in Kibbutz Shamir, Israel, and Oxford, North Carolina, in the United States. It specializes in carded thermalbond and air-through bond nonwovens for hygiene, wipes and industrial applications.
