Resolute to raise fluff pulp prices $70 in addition to hikes for paper grade pulps, effective March 1




SAN FRANCISCO, February 23, 2021-

Resolute Forest Products (Resolute) informed North American customers that prices across its five grades of market pulp would increase $70-120/tonne, effective March 1 until further notice, industry contacts told Fastmarkets RISI.

Resolute announced northern bleached softwood kraft (NBSK) pulp would rise to a $1,420/tonne list price. The firm didn’t state how much its price increase is month-over-month in any grade of pulp. However, the new NBSK list price would be up $120/tonne vs its last announced list price of $1,300/tonne – a $110/tonne hike that went into effect on Feb. 1.
