
Output of Chinese nonwovens companies up 15.4% in the first 2 months of 2025
SHANGHAI, April 23, 2025-
According to China Nonwovens & Industrial Textiles Association (CNITA), output of the Chinese nonwovens companies with sales volumes above 20 million yuan ($2.8 million) achieved a year-on-year increase of 15.4% in the first 2 months of 2025. Revenue of these companies rose by 8.8% compared with the first 2 months of 2024, and total profit increased by 16.1%. Gross profit margin rose by 0.2 percentage points to 2.7%.
According to General Administration of Customs of China, during the period under review, export volume of Chinese nonwovens grew by 13.8% to 249 thousand tonnes, and export value surged by 4.4% to $630 million. The export value of Chinese disposable hygiene products (diapers, feminine napkins, etc.) increased by 8.7% year on year to $580 million. Export value of wipes (excluding wet wipes) up by 1.6% to $250 million. Export value of wet wipes increased by 1.4% to $150 million.
