For the nine months ended Dec.31, 2024, Nippon Shokubai’s revenue rose by 5.6% year on year to 308.6 billion ($2 billion). Operating profit surged by 5.3% to 15.2 billion yen. Profit before tax grew by 35.1% to 19.2 billion yen. Profit attributable to owners of the parent increased by 43% to 14 billion yen.

During the period under review, revenue of the acrylic acid and superabsorbent polymers business was 167.5 billion yen, up 3.6%.
