TOKYO, Japan, November 11, 2024-

For the six months ended Sept.30, 2024, Nippon Shokubai’s revenue rose by 6.5% year on year to 206.88 billion ($1.35 billion). Operating profit grew by 4.5% to 10.46 billion yen. Profit before tax surged by 27% to 12.43 billion yen. Profit attributable to owners of the parent increased by 30.1% to 8.93 billion yen.

During the period under review, revenue of the acrylic acid and superabsorbent polymers business was 112.2 billion yen, achieved a year-on-year increase of 1.9%.
