TOKYO, August 8, 2024-

Nippon Shokubai released its earnings results for the first quarter of the fiscal year ending March 31, 2025, on August 7. Revenue rose by 7.9% year on year to 105.1 billion ($0.72 billion). Operating profit fell by 22.8% to 5.19 billion yen. Profit before tax dropped by 8.5% to 6.42 billion yen. Profit attributable to owners of the parent increased by 1.2% to 4.63 billion yen.

During the period under review, revenue of the acrylic acid and superabsorbent polymers business was 59.1 billion yen, achieved a year-on-year increase of 5.5%.
