Nantong Jiangtian Chemicals to purchase 100% equity in San-Dia Polymers (Nantong) for $40.6M




SHANGHAI, October 10, 2024-

In April this year, Nonwovens Markets reported that a Chinese chemical company Nantong Jiangtian Chemicals announced on March 25 that it was preparing for purchasing the 100% shares of San-Dia Polymers (Nantong) by cash. At that moment, the transaction was still in the preparation stage. On Sept. 27, Nantong Jiangtian Chemicals said that it will purchase 100% equity in San-Dia Polymers (Nantong) for CNY285 million ($40.6 million) in cash.

San-Dia Polymers (Nantong) produces superabsorbent polymers (SAP), which was founded in Nantong of Jiangsu province in 2003. San-Dia Polymers (Nantong) is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Japanese SAP producer San-DiaPolymers. San-Dia Polymers is one of the biggest SAP producers in the world whose SAP products are applied in hygiene, construction, and agricultural fields. San-Dia Polymers (Nantong) started up the commercial production in 2005.
