Malaysia's UPA investing in meltblown capacity for facemask usage [From the web]




KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, August 6, 2020-

UPA Corp Bhd’s subsidiary, UPA Healthcare Products Sdn Bhd, is venturing into the manufacturing of melt-blown non-woven fabric which is the key material used in the production of three-ply masks and surgical face masks.

Total investment for the project is estimated at RM10 million, to be funded through internally generated funds. The venture is in response to increased demand for face mask material, UPA Corp said in a statement yesterday.
