TOKYO, Japan, November 17, 2024-

For the first three quarters of 2024 from Jan.1 to Sept. 30, net sales of Kuraray achieved rose by 7.1% to 614.8 billion yen ($3.98 billion). Operating income grew by 19.4% to 73.9 billion yen. Ordinary income increased by 21.8% to 70.3 billion yen. Net income attributable to owners of the parent surged by 27.7% to 46.6 billion yen.

The nonwovens business is mainly included in the company’s fibers and textiles segment. During the period under review, net sales of this segment achieved a year-on-year increase of 2.9% to 46.2 billion yen. Operating income of this segment grew by 29.4% to 2.2 billion yen.
