Kimberly-Clark de México sales improve 5.1% in 3Q 2019 from year ago [Link]

MEXICO CITY, Mexico, October 21, 2019-

Kimberly-Clark de México (KCM) reported its third quarter 2019 results showing a 5.1% growth in net sales compared to the same period a year ago, at Peso 10.4 billion ($541 million). The value, however, is lower than registered in the second quarter of 2019, when the company’s sales reached Peso 11.2 billion.

“The deceleration of private consumption has impacted our categories, which for the most part are not showing volume growth. However, our efforts to increase prices in the earlier part of the year to mitigate the significant input cost pressures that built up over the recent years resulted in a positive price comparison and allowed us to increase our top line for the 20th consecutive quarter,” commented the company’s CEO Pablo Gonzalez in call with analysts.
