Chinese nonwovens manufacturer Anhui Jinchun Nonwoven Co. (Jinchun) posted its earnings results for the first half of 2024 on August 29. Revenue achieved a year-on-year increase of 16.98% to 503.13 million yuan ($70.6 million). Net profit attributable to owners of the parent fell by 81.33% to 1.73 million yuan. Net profit attributable to owners of the parent after deducing non-recurring profit and loss skyrocketed by 303.16% to 10.01 million yuan (1H 2023: -4.93 million yuan).

During the period under review, revenue of its nonwovens business rose by 12.85% to 438.77 million yuan. Gross profit margin was 9.23%. Revenue of its ES fiber business jumped by 108.47% to 52.52 million yuan. Revenue from the domestic market increased by 13.98% to 449.8 million yuan. Revenue from the overseas market shot up by 50.32% to 53.33 million yuan.
