Innovatec’s two new meltblown machines to enable significant increase in shipments for PPE uses

CLOVERDALE, CA, June 4, 2020-

China has been the center of global manufacturing for most kinds of facemasks, with Chinese and some other East Asian populations often wearing masks for protection against air pollution or to avoid giving colds or the flu to other people. By contrast, neither Europe nor North America has traditionally had much of a consumer facemask market, and a small number of specialists such as 3M or Honeywell have produced most of the high-quality masks used in those regions.

Similarly, the list of companies in the West that have made meltblown nonwovens for facemask applications is a very short one. That is changing now that governments in Europe and North America see the value in having local production of personal protective equipment (PPEs).
