
Increased imports of fine denier polyester staple fiber determined to injure U.S. industry
NEWARK NJ, August 15, 2024-
The U.S. International Trade Commission (USITC) reported July 9 that it had determined that fine denier polyester staple fiber (PSF) is being imported into the US in such increased quantities as to be a substantial cause of serious injury to the domestic industry producing an article like or directly competitive with the imported article.
The Commission earlier deemed a petition filed on Feb. 28, 2024 determined that the investigation was “extraordinarily complicated,” and would make its injury determination by July 9, 2024.
