Hygiene Week reveals a China facing the challenges of over-capacity and softening market conditions




SHANGHAI, August 11, 2022-

In the last week of July, the Chinese hygiene and nonwovens industry gathered in Wuhan, the capital city of Hubei Province in central China, to participate in Hygiene Week, organized by the China National Household Paper Industry Association (CNHPIA). From July 27-28, about 800 delegates participated in the tissue & hygiene conference program. And this was followed by the 29th China International Disposable Paper Expo (CIDPEX2022), which attracted over 800 exhibitors and 10,000 visitors from July 29-31.

In accordance with virus-prevention protocols, face masks were required for attendees of the conference as well as exhibitors and visitors of the trade fair. Green health code and a negative result from a nucleic acid test within 48 hours of the event were also required for entrance to the conference hotel and exhibition center.
