SAN FRANCISCO, April 22, 2024-

Georgia-Pacific (GP) announced an $80/tonne April price increase on fluff pulp list prices in North America and Europe, which has added upwards pressure to prices in mature markets and Asia, industry contacts told Fastmarkets’ PPI Pulp & Paper Week.

GP’s move came weeks after Paper Excellence Group, which includes wholly-owned subsidiaries Domtar and Resolute Forest Products, became the first fluff producer globally to announce an April price increase.
