Fitesa is adding 55,000 tonnes of new capacity, it said last week in an announcement that provided some new details about a program initially unveiled in broad terms in May of this year. The investments now described will affect several end-use sectors and will involve both spunmelt and meltblown machines. Increases are taking place in each world region where the company currently operates.

The 55,000 tonne addition does not include the new Reicofil 5 which started up this month at its CNC operation in Rayong, Thailand.
