Filtration specialist Mann+Hummel sees H1 sales approach Euro 2 billion, up 22%


The MANN+HUMMEL Group with headquarters in Ludwigsburg grew by 22% in the first half of 2017. Sales in the first half of the year (adjusted for currency effects) amount to 1.95 billion euros (previous year: 1.6 billion euros). These figures also include the consolidation of the acquisition of the filtration business of Affinia. The operating result for the first half of 2017 is satisfactory; the number of employees at approximately 20,000 has remained stable. At the Frankfurt motor show many new products will be presented including filtration solutions for combustion engines and alternative drive systems and measures to reduce the pollutant emissions of vehicles.

The international filtration specialist MANN+HUMMEL can look back on the first half of 2017 with satisfaction. The main drivers of the positive development of sales and EBIT were the areas of the aftermarket and industrial filtration. The area of OE business remained almost unchanged from the level of the previous year. The strong sales growth was mainly due to acquisitions, the Group has grown organically by about five percent.
