Daesol builds facility in Georgia to make nonwoven material for use in nearby Kia Motors plant




CLOVERDALE, CA, March 22, 2018-

Daesol Material Georgia, LLC has built a plant in West Point, Georgia designed to supply automotive fiber padding for use in headliner and carpet systems going into vehicles manufactured at the Kia Motors plant in the community, among other customer locations.

According to market sources, the new plant includes at least one machine to produce shoddy nonwoven. Such products, typically using shredded, combed cotton from used clothing, are often produced with the resin bond airlay process, but can also be needlepunched.
