SAO PAULO, August 6, 2019-

Chilean pulp and paper producer CMPC today announced the acquisition of Brazilian tissue producer Sepac for Real 1.3 billion ($330 million). The company expects the closing of the deal to occur in 120 days.

Based in the Brazilian southern state of Paraná, Sepac can produce 135,000 tonnes/yr of tissue paper. The company owns six paper machines and 17 conversion lines. Sepac also has a 175 million/yr diapers output.
