China’s nonwovens industry maintains stable growth in the first 10 months of 2024




SHANGHAI, December 18, 2024-

According to China Nonwovens & Industrial Textiles Association (CNITA), China’s nonwovens and industrial textiles industry maintained stable growth in the first ten months of 2024. Compared with the first ten months of 2023, output of the Chinese nonwovens companies with sales volumes above 20 million yuan ($2.8 million) increased by 4.1%, according to China National Bureau of Statistics. Revenue of these companies grew by 3.5% year on year, and total profit rose by 28.5%. Gross profit margin rose by 0.5 percentage points.

In the fields of filtration and geotextile, revenue and total profit of companies with sales volumes above 20 million yuan surged by 10.2% and 22.2% respectively. Gross profit margin of these companies was 6.3%, up 0.6 percentage points.
