China’s Hengan International slams short seller’s allegations of fraud
BEIJING, December 13, 2018-
China’s Hengan International (Hengan) resumed trading on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong on Thursday after denying earlier allegations of false financial statements from a short seller.
Bonitas Research, a short selling institution based in Texas, the USA, released a report on Wednesday accusing the tissue and hygiene product giant of having fabricated RMB 11 billion ($1.6 billion) of net income since 2005, asserting that its equity is worthless.
