TOKYO, Japan, November 12, 2024-

For the first six months of fiscal 2024 (Apr.1-Sept. 30, 2024), net sales achieved a year-on-year increase of 10.7% to 1,490.3 billion yen ($9.7 billion). Operating income jumped by 94.9% to 108.9 billion yen. Ordinary income surged by 99.2% to 103.7 billion yen. Net income attributable to owners of the parent rose by 95.3% to 60.2 billion yen.

The Asahi Kasei Group’s operations are described by major business classification: three reportable segments of material, homes, and health care, together with an “others” category. Its former fibers segment is included into performance products business category which belong to its material segment.
