Each of SCA's major segments generated growth in its second quarter and first half, according to financial results announced earlier this month. CEO Magnus Groth also took time in the Swedish company's quarterly investor call to discuss the firm's strategy of "fewer but bigger bets".

Net sales jumped by 14% in the first half to SEK 57.2 billion ($6.6 billion) but the year-over-year increase was 5% if exchange rate movements are excluded. Operating profits, excluding unusual items, rose by 9% to SEK 6.1 billion. Net profit for the half was up 11% at SEK 4.2 billion.
