Global Nonwovens Ltd. announces big SM plant for India – 20,000-tonne line to start in 2014




HOUSTON, TEXAS, June 21, 2012-

India is about to get its first world scale spunmelt line, at a plant being planned for startup in 2014, according to Global Nonwovens Ltd. The first line will have a capacity of 20,000 tonnes, with addition of a similar line expected to take place by 2016.

Global Nonwovens executive Anubhav Poddar made the announcement at the ANEX Nonwovens Exhibition and Conference in Seoul, South Korea, last week. He said the company is "in the advanced stages of design for the construction and commissioning of a new plant for the production of world class spunbond/spun melt fabrics."
