Fitesa plans $160 million investment program, with new lines aimed at hygiene market going into Europe, USA and South America

CLOVERDALE, CA, August 28, 2015-

While still wrapping up a three-year expansion plan adding 105,000 tonnes of capacity, South Carolina-based nonwovens producer Fitesa is about to launch another round of expansions with 60,000 tonnes of new capacity being installed starting in early 2017 at a cost of $160 million.

The new capacity will be going into Europe, the United States and South America. It appears that it will include a new spunmelt machine in each region. The company has not specified the individual starting dates or exactly where each line will go.
